Story

A champion with a scorer's touch — and a steady hand for Negro as the defending champs scramble for footing. Mateo Durán won Season 6 with Negro out of the gate and keeps producing: after a goal-and-an-assist opener, he set up Claudio Espinosa in the wild 5-5 track meet with Blanco, stretching his point streak to three and his assist streak to two. That night the champions found offense — Alonso Carriles erupted for a hat trick — but couldn't close it out, and Negro sit winless at 0-1-1, last in Sunday Night with their special teams leaking. At six career points (41st all-time in goals, 40th in points), the young forward is exactly the kind of producer they'll lean on to drag the title defense back on track.
