Story
A reigning champion and third all-time in both points and goals, Adrián Contreras began Verde's title defense with five points in the 6–2 Season 8 opening win over Blanco. Two goals, including the game-winner, and three assists lifted his regular-season career to 73 points (42 goals, 31 assists) in 40 games. After scoring and assisting in the Season 7 final to secure his first championship, the forward has immediately supplied the biggest scoring night of the new campaign's first matchday.
