After dishing two assists on opening night, the kid found the back of the net himself in Jornada 2 — burying Negro's game-tying strike in the third, set up by Mateo Duran and Alonso Carriles — to push him to 17 career points, sixteenth all-time, and a four-game point streak across just three short seasons. It came in a wild 5-5 track meet with Blanco, where Alonso Carriles' hat trick couldn't save the defending champions from a winless start (0-1-1, last place) as their leaky defense surrendered eleven goals in two games.
