A champion in his first Sunday Night season, Rodrigo Barbará helped Negro win Season 6 and scored his first career goal during that campaign. His first Season 8 assist came on Alfonso Sinencio's opening goal against Azul, giving the Negro forward a regular-season career line of one goal and one assist in 16 games. The result was a 6–3 defeat, but Barbará's setup added a fresh contribution to a résumé already anchored by a championship.
