Story
Two-time champion Andrés Mata begins Season 8 as Negro's captain, bringing a top-five scoring résumé to the role. An opening-night assist against Azul raised his regular-season career to 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 40 games, fifth all-time in points and tied for fourth in goals. With championships from Seasons 3 and 4, the forward's task now is to turn that proven production into a response after Negro's 6–3 opening defeat.
